Draft Audio Story

In my Draft Audio Story I wanted to give to viewpoints of my topic. I started out with a Narrative of myself explaining my topic and personal experience I have with my topic to make it more clear to my listeners. I also talked about my topic and the meaning of it while also explaining its importance. After my narrative I did an interview with my friend Grace Sypher who also has struggled with a similar experience. Grace explained how she had to transition, and what it was like for her. I decided to include an interview aspect because I thought it would make my story stronger with 2 different views. I also chose to design my project with me talking first and then my friend so it would first explain, and then make the second example stronger. I added the two chime sound affects to the beginning of both speech fragments to separate them and to also know when they are beginning. I felt that his aspect was needed to draw more attention. For my final draft, I do want to touch up my narrative part because I do feel like it can be stronger and more detailed.

Final Logo Design

When first beginning my design process, including the sketches, I always envisioned that I wanted something simple and to the point, but also very appealing to the eye. With that idea in mind, I decided to design a logo that involved the letter “H” for the main idea of my topic which is having a healthy lifestyle. I then decided to include a text box that contained the word “lifestyle” which also goes along with my topic. I then turned the text box into a banner using illustrator and I uses a flag effect to make it more catching to the eye. I also decided to make the color of the banner green to represent healthy “green” foods. I was very happy with my logo draft, and the feedback I got to improve it helped me even more. Most of the feedback I received was about making minor improvements and polishing it up. My text was very hard to read, and my banner points were just a little off. With this feedback the revisions I made were to my text to make it still eye catching but also very easy to read and understand. I also changed the banner length to match up better, and to polish it more. Another thing I decided to change was the font of the “H”. I changed it to more of a cursive “H”. I did this because I liked how it looked like it flowed with the banner, and to me it looked more pleasing to the eye. Overall, I really enjoyed my Final Logo Design and I think it goes very well and represents my topic.

Logo Draft

This is my Logo Draft. For my design I wanted it to be simple and to the point. I didn’t want something that just said my whole idea in a logo, but something that represented it in a more simple way. I first decided to put an “H” in the background to represent the word “healthy” which is the key to my topic which is maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I then chose to create a banner that also mimicked the inner part of an “H”. This is where I included the word “lifestyle” in a ballpark Weiner font so it would pop-out and it would add a cool eye catching touch to my logo. I personally really enjoy my logo, because it is appealing to the eye and it is simple and to the point, while representing my topic very well. I also chose the color green, because to me I feel like that represents a healthy color. (vegetables) I used the banner effect which I found pretty simple, the only challenging part was finding the overall idea of what I wanted my logo to look like. I didn’t run into any difficulties, except I did have to go back and watch some of the tutorials in order to remember the exact steps on how to make the banner. Overall, I am very happy about my logo and how it represents my topic.
